CHALLENGE

Prosthetic & Orthotics Group is a long-time customer of Waystar and was already using the platform’s solutions to help with claims and eligibility, along with the recently added Claim Monitoring and Denial & Appeal Management solutions. Currently, they are working to integrate Waystar functionality into Nymbl, their practice management system. Prior to implementing Waystar, billing staff had to call the payer for each patient to verify eligibility. Additionally, billers were manually checking claim statuses.

By using Waystar to automate both eligibility checks and claim status inquiries, staff can make better use of their time, only needing to follow up on claims that need attention. Denials and rejections are corrected or appealed much faster—up to 30 days faster than manual, paper and post-dependent processes. With Waystar, they’re able to set goals, monitor performance and track improvements by both overall measurements or by each of their 14 locations.
